We're a small team of plant nerds who got tired of guessing whether "watering day" had actually arrived. Rooter Score started as a weekend experiment between two chronically overwatered fiddle-leaf figs and grew into a proper diagnostic tool for anyone who wants to understand what's really happening below the soil line.
Our mission is simple: replace guesswork with a number you can trust. Root rot rarely announces itself until it's too late — by the time leaves droop or yellow, the damage below is often already done. We built Rooter Score to catch the warning signs earlier, treating the soil itself as the source of truth instead of waiting for symptoms to show up above ground.

Rooter Score was built on one principle: your plants' data belongs on your device, not on ours. We don't collect it, we don't store it remotely, and we have no mechanism to receive it in the first place.
We collect nothing. There's no account creation, no sign-in, no name or email capture, no geolocation access, and no analytics tracking. Plant family selections, pot composition notes, drainage ratings, soil moisture readings, watering dates, and your Rooter Score history are all created by you, for you, and never transmitted anywhere.
Since nothing is collected or transmitted to us, there's nothing for us to use, analyze, aggregate, or sell. Every calculation — including your root vitality index — happens directly on your device, using only the values you enter in that session.
All logs, presets, and calculator history are stored exclusively in local storage on your device. There's no cloud backup, no remote database, and no server Rooter Score communicates with. The app works identically with no internet connection at all.
Rooter Score integrates no third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or SDKs that collect user data. Nothing is shared with third parties because nothing ever leaves your device.
Because your plant and soil data never travels off your device, the primary security consideration is the same one your device already has — physical access. There are no external servers to breach, no accounts to compromise, and no transmitted data to intercept.
Rooter Score does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because it collects no personal information from any user regardless of age. The app has no chat, social, or data-submission features, consistent with COPPA principles.
You're always in full control of your data. Because everything lives locally, deleting the app permanently removes all associated logs and history. There are no backups on our end to worry about, and no account to close, because none was ever created.
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect new features or clarify existing language. Any changes will be reflected by an updated Effective Date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
